ARTafterDARK is the Honolulu Academy of Arts' monthly art party organized by a dynamic group of young volunteers dedicated to exploring the arts.

The creative minds for this month's ARTafterDARK are Malia Wisch and Curtis Lee.
Join us on a journey down the Silk Road. The Academy courtyards transform into the different regions—from China to India to the Middle East—of the infamous route.

MUSIC+ENTERTAINMENT:
INDIA (Central Court)
Start the adventure with DJ Nocturna, spinning great dance tunes with Indian Bollywood flavor! 6-9pm
MEDITERRANEAN (Banyan Courtyard)
Chill-out in our 'cafe del mar' lounge with the soothing sounds of djsilvana. 6-8:30pm
ART:
CHINA (Luce Pavilion)
Live Art: See the skillful hand of Andy Lee in action.
MIDDLE EAST (Kinau Courtyard)
Visit the talented henna artists to get your own henna tattoo.
Continue your travels inside the galleries with another exciting art hunt. Your Gallery Silk Road journey begins in Central Court. Don't forget to drop off your hunt forms in Kinau Courtyard by 8:30pm!
Spotlight Gallery: Go on a docent-led zip tour of our major fall exhibition, 4,000 Years of Southeast Asian Art (Henry R. Luce Gallery (28)). On view will be approximately 150 works of art from Thailand and Cambodia, many of which have never been displayed at the museum.
Zip tour 1: 6:30-7:00pm
Zip tour 2: 7:30-8:00pm

PARKING:
Just a reminder—ARTafterDARKers can park in the following locations:
1) FREE: The Pro Park Parking Lot behind the Art Center at Linekona, entrances on Beretania and Young streets
2) FREE: Street parking on Beretania Street from 6 p.m.
3) FREE: First United Methodist Church Parking Lot on the corner of Beretania and Victoria streets. NOTE: lot closes promptly at 10 p.m.
4) FREE: Academy Staff Parking Lot at 1035 Kinau St., diamondhead of Victoria Street
5) $5 at Kim Chee III Parking Lot on Young Street
